Select Laboratories

Select Labs-SC is a creative collaboration between rural physicians across South Carolina, three local hospitals, and Select Laboratories senior management.  The endeavor is headed by Ernie Knesel, a leader in the industry with over 30 years of experience in laboratory operation and management.  Ernie is one of the original  founders of what has today become Laboratory Corporation of America (LabCorp).  Knesel also founded Roche Image Analysis Systems (TriPath Imaging).  Knesel has been recognized in the industry for his creative skill and innovation in product design and service delivery. Knesel's career has been a unique mix of business administration, sensetivity to market needs and technical innovation.  He has been a creative influence to numerous methods and systems that are considered industry standards. Knesel has assembled some of the best talent using his leadership experience and dedicated them to the training and development of personnel to positively impact  the future of clinical lab medicine.
